​How do I talk about sports and other extra-curricular activities?

Objetivos comunicativos:

  • I can talk about some team sports and other extra-curricular activities.
  • I can talk about some other pastimes and hobbies.
  • I can tell what activities I like to participate in and why.
  • I can tell what activities I don’t like to participate in and why not.
  • I can ask someone what activities they like to participate in and why. ​

Evaluación final:

Presentational Speaking: Your Spanish-speaking pen pal is doing a project for school about common after-school activities and pastimes in the USA.  She has asked you to record a short video of yourself talking about the things you like to do (and don’t like to do) to be included in her project.  You are excited to tell her all about the activities offered at VRHS and the activities you personally like to participate in.
 
Include some of the following information:
 
  • Activities and pastimes that are common at VRHS, and which ones you participate/don’t participate in
  • Activities that you enjoy and why
  • Activities that you don’t enjoy and why not
  • When and where these activities take place
 
Feel free to include anything else you can say about sports and other pastimes in Spanish.
